Day 2 and 3

July 11, 2010

On Friday I was in Trapper Creek.   I went 95 miles that day.  Today I’m safe in Cantwel……hardest ride of my life!

    Hi Doug!

I hope the rain finally stopped and the sun dries your clothes and warms your spirits!

Probably the toughest physical challenge I ever had was racing you up Brigham Road on a one speed bike when we were just kids. I can still remember zigzagging back and forth up that winding, unyielding s.o.b. monster, leg muscles straining, my pride not allowing me to step off the bike. While I can’t recall ever beating you to the top I do remember the enormous relief and sense of accomplishment upon reaching the summit. I hope those feelings are magnified 100 fold when you reach Fairbanks!

    I’m proud of you!

    God’s speed!

    Chris
