This may be difficult: Prudhoe Bay to Anchorage

December 16, 2010

Or maybe brutal.   Hard?  Does the word “hard” describe riding  900 miles by yourself, carrying  all your food, camping with wolves and crossing mountain passes?  For some reason, I don’t think “hard” quite cuts it.  Impossible.  Fool-hardy. Crazy.

So why do it?

Two reasons: 1) Raise awareness about Parkinson’s.  2) Raise money for a Parkinson’s cure.  And I don’t mean for me.  It’s too late for me.  But together we can help the next person, maybe your son or daughter.  When I start riding in July, and you’re asked for a contribution, think of your kids, or your friends kids.  You know someone who has PD.  They just don’t know it yet.
